Ms. Abha Sadana has been a passionate educator for more than three decades. She has worked towards educational research and in evolving new teaching methodologies.
She is a Postgraduate in Economics and History and has done PHD level courses in Institute of International Education, University of Stockholm, Sweden. She has taught in various schools and institutes which include the International School of Stockholm and International School of Paris, Vasant Valley School, and University of Bradford. For 9 years she was the Principal of The Modern School ECNCR. She has been bestowed by many awards and accolades.
For cultural exchange, research and employment, she has travelled to more than 20 countries in the world. Her research work involves submission of papers in UNESCO, University of Stockholm, and Prime Minister of India’s Office.
Presently she is the Director of Modern Institute for Education, a research, training and development institute for the school teaching and educator community which aims to empower educators to meet the highest standards of quality education so that they can become catalysts of change, make a difference in the communities they serve and bring out the best in themselves and their students.
Ms. Ambika Pant
Honorary Secretary of the Board of Trustees of Modern School, Ms. Ambika Pant, did her schooling at the Modern School, Vasant Vihar. She studied English Literature at The Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University from where she graduated with honours in 1991.
Thereafter she finished her post graduate studies in Spanish Art History and Literature from the Complutense University, Madrid in 1992. Ms. Pant has worked in the travel industry in India & the UK and has lived, other than in India, in France, UK, Spain and the Netherlands over 15 years. She speaks 4 languages fluently (Hindi, English, Spanish and Dutch).
Ms. Pant has been involved with the Modern School Society and has served in the management committees of Raghubir Singh Junior Modern School and Modern School, Barakhamba Road. She was instrumental in the establishment of the Modern School, ECNCR at Kundli in 2014 and the Modern School, Faridabad in 2016.
Ms. Ambika Pant is a Founder member of the Delhi Chapter of St. Jude Childcare Centres (which looks after cancer affected children) and is a life member on the governing body of the Delhi Society for Welfare of Special Children (an NGO involved in the welfare of children with special needs). She is deeply concerned with the wellbeing of children with disabilities.
She has been involved with advocating public private partnership in primary education in Delhi and has participated in an advisory capacity with the South Delhi Municipal Corporation.
Ms. Ambika Pant is an avid half marathoner and has done high altitude trekking in India, Nepal and Africa.
